Filter Material
The filters supplied with our bezels are designed
to enhance your digital display.
Our filters are made out of cast acrylic which is
tough and impact-resistant, permanently retains full transparency
and true color. It has excellent heat stability, and is
distortion free at 180 degrees F -- far beyond the normal range in
any application. It's exceptional optical qualities help
eliminate readout errors even when viewed at any angle. This
is a very hard material and will not scratch when cleaned like some
of the common plastic filters.
Filters that are supplied with our bezels are all
.030 in thickness and have a non-glare surface on one side.
This is not a coating or lamination, but is cast right into the
material. This reduces glare on the display from ambient room
lights. The opposite side of the filter is glossy.
Filters can also be ordered with both sides glossy.
Most common colors are red and green for LED
displays and a smoke (almost clear) for LCD displays.
Other colors can be supplied also but would be a special order.
Red Filter Transmittance is 90% at a wavelength of
700 Millimicrons.
Green Filter Transmittance is 55% at a wavelength
of 530 Millimicrons
Smoke Filter Transmittance is 80% at a wavelength
of 400 - 800 Millimicrons
